What does the extra marital affair do for you? Does it allow you to remain married and not face the marital issues? Do you ever fall in love with the other woman and put her before your wife? Will the marriage ever be finished?

My wife began wanting sex less and less. In fact we are lucky to have sex every other month. I discussed this with her and she named off several things I could do (more cleaning, cooking, watching the kids etc.) She is a stay at home mom but I began doing more household chores. Still the sex was every other month. When I confronted her about this she would get mad and not discuss. I cheated because I miss the closeness of a woman. The tender soft sensual side and the feeling of someone wanting me for more than my paycheck. The cheating was absolutely for the physical act of sex and nothing more. Sure I care for this other woman but I do not love her.

You have really opened pandora's box. Even though you've only asked a few questions, they are all very in depth questions. You have to understand, that men want sex. Most affairs are not related to love. At least not for the man. Men usually just see another woman that they find physically attractive and that they may be around a lot during the day, and it grows from there. I certainly don't condone it, but understand the temptation. It's something new...and possibly, sex with the wife has become boring. Think back to the excitement of that first time with someone...your heart was racing...emotions were flaring...it was exciting. That gets lost sometimes in a marriage. Couples have to find a way to bring that excitement back or at least realize that what they have is really what they always wanted and no quickie will ever compare to true love!! Damn that last line was cheesy!!

I have never cheated and never will, but feel compelled to post answer anyway.

Implicit in your questions is a statement that those that cheat are cowards. I have to agree I tend to believe that my manhood stems from my ability to face the issues that sometimes make a marriage difficult. This means communicating with my wife and communicating means listening as well as talking. Once we've stated how the other feels inevitably there will be compromises to be made. This is the real tough part. Sometimes we need to put aside ourselves for the greater good of the relationship which in turn fulfills us.

A marriage is a lot of really hard work. Work that most men and women aren't ready to take on because they don't have the strength of character to do so or they just haven't grown up.

I guess I shouldnt be answering this question but hey, Im doing you a favour ;-)

The main reason for men cheating is that they lose interest in their current relationship, either because the sex is lame or because things just arent the way they were in the beginning.

It is highly possible that a guy can fall in love with another woman while he himself is married, ... it just happens!

Despite all of this, lets not be stereotyped and assume that all men are like this

Cheating is just about the sex, and the feeling that you have it still.

I only cheat with married women so that I don't end up with a stalker. It is just about the strange. Some people are just not happy with the same thing day in and day out. I am not saying it is right, just answering your question.

Everyone knows that if you get caught it will be bad, but if you don't get caught then things are fine.

Men cheat for the same reasons that women do, lust, something wrong at home, no self restraint... why do women always blame the men, it is always the mans fault, NOT TRUE, just as many women cheat as men do, it takes two to tango...

Men who cheat aren't man enough to fix the problems at home and they are also cowards.

Women who cheat are selfish and insecure.

End of story.

I don't cheat, but the ones that I know who do, just do it out of lust, and once a cheater always a cheater.
