I know that some people decide to work as a tour guide only for a year or so and then eventually setlle for the boring 9-5 jobs. I really don't want to be that way. I really like tour guiding

of course it can I had a friend whom made it her living and did excellent with and at it she got to travel the world as a exchange guide and now retired with a great house and all the toys, so you go girl

that depends on you and the place you're a guide at, in Israel people can be guides till..well till their end.
if you are guide where enough tourists come to give you a good income- then i guess you can continue till whenever you're sick of it..

it's a fun job! you'd get to meet a lot of people and you'd get to see lotsa places, very rewarding. it's kinda tiring though especially if you're gonna handle a big group. but i don't think its a good long term job.
