Nancy Pelosi does not replace into the vice chairman. She could stay the Speaker of the domicile, assuming the Democrats stay contained in maximum persons and he or she gets re-elected. If Palin had to take workplace as president, she could then rent her very own Vice-President. Pelosi could purely take workplace if the two McCain and Palin have been lifeless or incapacitated on a similar time.

I don't think this is what you are talking about, but it is very important for democracy to work to have the election on a public holiday. In Greece we always have the elections on Sunday, so that everyone can vote. I heard at the US it is on a week day, so naturally only people who can afford to vote, hence the results which are not representative of the real majority of the US people (I hope).

I never heard anyone speak of this that holds office. It makes sense though they do it (just a day or 2 not a month) in other countries and it would make it easier to vote.
too bad it will never happen here. Our country never does anything that makes too much sense
why 5 weeks? why would it take that long to vote?

Don't give the Democrat any ideas. They think everything is free.
Speaking of elections. Why do we vote on Tuesday? Why not move it to Saturday or Sunday.
It won't effect me what day it's on. We have early voting and I ALWAYS vote early as possible.

Because it's stupid. France does that and it's the most absurd idea I've ever heard. 5 weeks off would mean every store, business, school, and hospital would be closed. Imagine how much money would be lost. Democrats are too smart to talk about such a dumb idea.

Just because Dubya has vacationed 40% of the time during his Presidency doesn't mean the rest of us can.

Because that is shallow...It might fly, but I wouldn't base my vote on a candidate of either party saying that.
