As well as complying with the fire regulations, some premises also require a Fire Certificate. A Fire Certificate is issued under the Fire Precautions Act 1971 (as amended). It is a legal document that, in addition to the risk assessment for the workplace, sets out the fire precautionary arrangements of the building. Once a Certificate has been issued it remains in force and passes to any new owners or occupants of the building.

The Fire Certificate

Basically it means you have been found OK on the fire precaution bit. Just an extinguisher is not enough.
You only get that certificate if you adhere to a sh!tload of rules.

One thing (That does not help when it is on fire) you need to have is:
The Log Book
You must keep a logbook in the your place of work, which records the details of tests and examinations of fire safety arrangements. You also need to record to whom and when fire training has been given.
