I woke up sunday morning cold and fever. It hurt to breathe in. Felt like my lungs were gonna cave in. As the day went on it felt better. Yesterday I woke up and had a sore throat. Feels like a cold. Still have back pain and upper chest pain like a cold. Can anyone tell me if they have ever felt this? Is there such thing as a cold in the back?

No, there's no such thing as a cold that targets someone's back, but there are plenty of cold like illnesses that cause body aches. What feels like a cold, but is accompanied with fever and body aches, could be things like the flu, pneumonia, whooping cough, etc. Especially when accompanied by that respiratory discomfort you mention. You should see a doctor, or go to your local emergency department.

You may want to go and get a chest x-ray. You may have pneumonia. Yes, I have had it. My back has hurt horribly for days. It could also be pleurisy. Both easily treatable.
