Tony Blair is the best Prime Minister since Churchill. The Country is far better off in many ways. I realise how lucky I am to live here under a Labour Government.

Until the disastrous decision to support Bush's madness no matter what, Blair was a vaguely competent but not outstanding Prime Minister. The long term implications of Afghanistan and Iraq threaten to condemn Blair to the dustbin of history as easily one of the worst leaders Britain has ever had.

Tony Blair - has his faults, but he is the best PM we`ve had in this country for a long time.........!
People seem to have a very small memory, some are to prepared to jump on the bandwagon - without thinking - and condemn him.

Had it not been for Tony Blair and the Labour Party a lot of pensioners would not have free TV licence, winter aid (money), better Government pension, and the NHS is a lot better off - not perfect - than it was under the damned Tory`s.

He speaks his mind - which is a thing most ministers are frightened to do!!!

He has sat in many TV debates with the public and answered all of their questions.............some answers may not have been what the public wanted to hear, but those people would condemn their own mothers if they did not agree with them!

Labour was voted into power by the people of the UK, remember that.

Soon it will be the choice of the people to vote again, it is their right.

And I suppose whoever gets into power at 10 Downing Street will not please everyone, but heck, that`s democracy!!!

So stop complaining and get a life!

You shouldn't be so hard on the man. Being a Prime Minister is one of the hardest jobs in the world today. I think he has done the best job that he could. Someone else might not do as good as he did then what are you going to say. How would you handle his job? Think about all the in's and out's and judge then if he did a good job. Could you do better? Think about that before you answer yes.

yes

in the opinion of Harold Wilson, Lord North, who lost the 13 American colonies, was the worst Prime Minister we ever had

Tony Blair never has and never will hold the HEGEMONY of the British people

No that goes to the one and only(thankfully) Margaret Thatcher.
He has been a little foolhardy as regards his twinning with Bush but we do need to try and get on with other nations The Americans hate bush as much as we do by the way, my son lives over there and his wife is American
Tony had to make up for the mess left behind by the previous Tory government and then try and raise the money and standards on the back of that. Another term for him would have proved whether or not, but lets hope he is not succeeded by Gordon Brown - There are a lot better men and women with more about them and also more charismatic. :)

Not at all, but only history will tell. With the changes in the world today and political correctness, it's becoming almost impossible to be a good leader. Terrorists and the media control countries now.

Isn't it odd.... people hated Thatcher... and missed her when she'd gone...

You will all be very sorry when he has gone... he will be remembered as a great great PM..

He has introduced so many social reforms and has overseen the greatest period of economic stability and wealth generation that this country has ever known... he has also saved the NHS from privatisation and has spent record sums on both education and the NHS.

Some of you just have to jump on the medias political bandwagon and you repeat all of this crap without fully understanding what you are saying...

You are doing this man and our country a great dis-service.

Personally I hated Thatcher and still do - old *****....

Personally I think he is one of the best.

He had a lot of courage taking Britain to war in Iraq/ Afghanistan and made the right decision. He didn't end up being just some pu&sy pandering to the hippies and idealists who do are not centered in reality.

Maybe it would take a plane landing on their houses or to wake up and see London has dissapeared to be replaced by a crater, before they even considered that military action is sometimes the only course of action which can be taken

Yes he has faults i.e the NHS, crime etc but all in all I rate him in the top 2-3 prime ministers of recent times.

Agree totally with Frogie. The real problem is who on earth could replace him? John Reid's a vague possibility, butapart from him, there's nobody in the government or any of the opposition parties who could come anywhere near the job.
