A Contract has to be signed at the place of executing the contract. If you are in Mumbai -U have to sign at Mumbai-writing signed in Mumbai.
If U R in Chennai- write signed at Chennai.
Only difference; it makes is that any dispute arising out of contract may be subject to jurisdiction of the court of the place of signing unless the contract specifies-subject to jurisdiction of court of ...
Further, the conditions being put to U are not reasonable conditions and such a contract can be void under Indian Contract Act.

Absolutely not; the signing of a contract does not have to take place in any particular place, unless you have a previous contract stating that you will sign the second contract in a specified place. failure to do so would merely be a breach of the first contract.

The confusion may stem from Roman Law on which most modern legal systems are based. Under the law of Justinian, a transfer of immovable property (i.e.land) would have to involve some symbolic transfer at the site.

But in answer to your question, no!

No it is not required. Take for example a loan agrrement which is signed in a particular branch and the borrower who may/ may not be residing in the area where the banks branch is situated.

A contract may be signed any where in India where Law of contract prevails. The only thing is that the jurisdiction of court lies at a particular place where the contract was signed in case any dispute arises.

Moreover any contract which supercedes any provsion of law of the land , is VOID ab intio..and the terms and conditions of your contract seems to be tresspassing the law of contract.
