Kerman is a city in the San Joaquin valley of California, 15 miles west of Fresno. It is an agricultural community with thousands of acres of grapes grown mainly for raisins. Kerman was founded by Russian immigrants who lived for a time in Persia after the Bolshevik revolution. Undoubtedly, they brought the name with them when they founded the community in California.
