It is a reaction to Christianity and its impossible to live up to paradigm of You Must Do Right. But, this does provide the kinky delight that so many republicans seem to get with likes of congressional pages and prostitutes.

What you call rotten is exactly what make this country great. Though YOUR personal beliefs may vary from those who are a bit more liberal, our constitution was written to protect the rights of all it's citizens, not just the majority.

Though it can be a tough fight, let's look at a few things here ...

Slavery was legal ... (THE MAJORITY) accepted the fact that slave labor was right and just and that slaves in America had no rights, but this was changed for the better because we understand as a nation that ALL people are equal ...

Then it came to Women and equal rights ... (THE MAJORITY) felt that women had no place in business or politics and that they should stay at home, hae kids and that was their place... it took some time, but could you imagine women today NOT having equal rights, of course not ...

ok, you are busting on Gay marriage, guess what ... (THE MAJORITY) believe it's wrong and a sin ... well, this is a feeling that stems from the bible saying it's a sin (in some interpretations), but we dont live in a Christian Society (though the Majority likes to think we do), we live a country based on religeous freedoms, and not ALL religeons consider this a sin, just 3 have and Judaism had since changed their stance on gay relations ... so sometime in the future, guess what ... they will be equal to everyone else ... get used to it ...

You have problems with Porno ... well, dont watch it ... it's a protected form of expression. Some people enjoy this industry ... But if you start censoring porno, then where will it end, censoring your right to talk against the president, a ban on reading the bible, newspapers not allowed to address politics or current affairs ... where would YOU draw the line, how much freedom are YOU willing to jepordise because a few things in this country does not meet YOUR standards?

It's time for Americans to come together as a nation and to respect the diversity that exists in this country. We must support each other and learn to live together as a nation.

Now, in saying this, I respect your right to hate the things you listed, and I respect your right to voice your opinion ... but I reject your idea that the USA is somehow rotten.

The media made these things be important
Because the media runs america supported by big industry
The media comes up with polarizing issues to ensure the liberals have a soapbox to stand on because related to the real issues both parties are very similar. The polarizing issues that really don't have any or little affect on people are there to antagonize people and move them away from the real issues where the republicans and democrats believe the same. For example, most large companies support partner benefits and do not require same sex marriage to provide these benefits.

Freedom, my friend, is a two-edged sword. As our freedoms increase, so does the disgust of our neighbors with our exercising of those freedoms. The incessant calls for tolerance have caused us to stop being judgmental (as a whole) and now pointing out the things we consider bad in our culture is in itself considered bad.

Shame is dead, and to those who killed it I say well done... well done indeed. It's hard to kill a concept, but kill it you did. Now see what you can do to kill a technique, such as terrorism.

But I digress... Partial birth abortions = bad, yes, easy to agree with that. Porn = bad, but good. Nobody (except the craven pervos) approves of the extremely grotesque things found in pornography, such as child porn or snuff films or other harmful practices... but a nicely airbrushed centerfold can be appreciated by many, many people many, many times when their parents are away and won't be home for at least twenty minutes. So not so bad... nice, really. Really, really nice. Homosexual marriage = good for the homosexuals who wish to marry, bad for the heterosexuals who don't wish to have the definition of marriage altered, which I can understand. I have a wedding ring. That means something to me. I don't want that ring to signify that it's a possibility I could be gay. I recognize that as a ridiculous argument, and I don't intend to hold it up as a good reason that homosexuals should be denied the right to marry, but in all honesty that's how I feel about it... I believe that it will take away that part of the assumption - wedding ring = heterosexual.

Now that I've written all this, I wonder if the question won't be removed?

i dont know, partial birth abortion has been outlawed in many states though. We dont let homo's get married....yet, but i hope they never get to. And islam is a cult of hate, so killing camel jockeys isnt bad because they will kill us if we dont.

that's a matter of opinion. partial birth abortions are crazy. the porn industry seems to be thriving multi-billion dollar a year industry. men are not supposed to marry men or women are not supposed to marry women. so screw them.

It's funny how you don't include on your list the thousands killed in an unprovoked and unnecessary war.
