As a UK citizen you may or may not be charged international fees, but you will not be able to claim for a student loan if you have not been resident in the UK for 3 years. If you are or will have been working in the UK for 3 years you should be back in residency status, some universities might have a shorter residency requirement, but to get a loan from the government you must meet the three year residency requirement.

Check with individual universities you're interested in, and then with your local council if you have one.

Short answer is- citizenship means squat when it comes to course fees. Even an American who has been living in the UK for 3 years is eligible for resident fees. It all depends on where you've been living.

There may be some exceptions for like the Brit. Virgin Islands, or for diplomats children, but I'm not positive about that.
