You should speak to your doctor, your one remaining kidney has to work twice as hard, so being pregnant may put extra pressure on it.

Consult your doctor. My cousin got pregnant 2 months after she had her kidney removed much to the horror of her doctors. But she carried well only after the baby was born did she have problems. High blood pressure etc.

But seek medical advice. You may need extra support through your pregnancy as your kidneys work over time when pregnant.

Good luck

My sister has one kidney removed when she was around six or seven and she has three children and had no problems.

The best person to ask this question of is a doctor though to be sure. It is very possible each person is different, or at least each person's condition warranting the removal of a kidney is different.

Yes, some people are born with only one kidney. In any event
consult your doctor.

A person can live normally as long as the remaining kidney is functioning at 65%. Please ask your transplant team regarding pregnancy details. I am preparing to donate a kidney, feel free to contact me if you need some moral support.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

I dont see why not. The body functions perfectly fine with one functional kidney.

Double check with your doctor.
