No. You can't change history overnight. When one generation adopts a certain view you can't change their belief that easy. For centuries Africa was seen only as good source of slave labor and was continuously robbed. Civil war didn't change much, biggest illusion is that North cared bout blacks, nope, they just needed extra labor force and let's not forget that until Rosa Parks and Rev.King said no more situation with blacks was grim. It's sad but even today people are judged by the color of their skin not by their actions. Few black individuals did achieve success but in general, being black today is a challenge, both mentally and physically

There certainly is a glass ceiling between white skinned and black skinned people. It is indeed just a color and can never define an individual. I think people should learn to stop discriminating others just because they're born a certain color. I mean, I hate it when people think, AH... she's an Indian... yellow skin and all. Thats rubbish. And yeah... there is ALWAYS someone or the other who has preconceived notions, hence treating people from different races, differently.

doctors discovered that in order to qualify as a human being you must have certain organs ,......wether black white pink or whatever we are all human beings and we have to appreciate that at least we can interact with each other nowadays unlike in those days.....since there are a lot of interracial relationships and marriages which mean racism will soon be a thing of the past...HISTORY....but what about Indians i have never seen an Indian who is married to a black guy,Chinese,or white person.

It depends on where you are in this country... I"m from the midwest and black people do get treated different here (just in General) I'm not prejudice it's just that a vast majority of people in this area are set in their 1900's ways

Affirmative action gives Africans too many priveleges. This is no way to achieve racial equality. It creates hard feelings when fools abuse their priveleges. We need sensible people of all races to work together and overcome the harm done by immature Africans who do hateful things and then cry, "Racism", when Europeans chastise them and by Lunatic left Europeans who uphold barbaric behavior by Africans.

I am sorry to say that there are still racists in this country, the old USA. It could be geographic, as in the south there are still whites who dislike blacks.

I would say it depends on the individual person as to how they treat people, black, pink or sky blue. Color don't matter to me, its the person
