Take me to the moon,
If you want to.
Take me to the stars,
If you can.
Take me to the moon
As soon as possible
And back again.
Take me to the moon.
Oh.

school has failed to educate me, i know its responsible for our tides but what else?

So far I don't like to promote this idea.

If an axis governtment shoots off the Moon ,, we loose all climate. We loose all Agricultural Climates ,, overnight. (Since everyone(and everything) is alive on the day the World is de-mooned ,, Life will 1st collapse on it's own weight.)(The food chain just lost its foundation.)(Like in the KT boundry.)

You shoot off the Moon ,, the planet tumbles.

In any 24-hour packet ,, you get temperatures of very hot desert and the freezing poles. So it's no point to re-grow anything. All Life on Earth will seize ,, (though the very extremely evolved of Earth's Life will seed the Next Era and re-start ,, as a matter of continuity ,, but the History of Humanity would be made meaningless.)

Some scientists believe we will also loose some 50% of our oceans' waters to "escape velocity" into space.(This I don't know.)

( **.)
The mammal (especially at 120 lbs ,, us.) is just too expensive for the global ecology to sustain ,,, in such a low-product condition as here "tumbling" AND (your other question) nuclear winter. Scientists favour a primitive class of worm now under garden rock and the cockcroach.

( **.)
The footprint (the amount of living space) the elephant needs ,, is something we find hard to give the elephants ,, today. We are high maintenence also ,, but is okay because progressive chlorophyles in C3 and C4 types. If chlorophyle didn't speed up ,, mammals may not had been choosen when the dinosaurs kneeled.

,, Survival ,, will probably be meaningless because u end up alive on a planet that is not suited for you.

( ** America grew her own foods , hydrophonics in WW2. The cost there and now (Singapore 1980's)(via subsidy) is still prohibitive. Against a backdrop of very low industrial product ,, this is suicide. ( Hydrophonics is at about the level of "high value floriculture". ) Against a lost of major infrastructure is ugly. You're back to barter trading ,, u pay price-on-demand. Provided the buyer is resourcefull enough to afford to pay price-on-demand ,, in the currency you want. ** ) ( Evenso , eventual ecomonic value of this is negative. ) ( If u survive , u live in negative-value economy. Means product is negative value ,, liability is negative value.) (product means sugar , flour , water.) (That means the longer u do this business , the poorer u get..) (U loose your house by virtue of creating a debt in the bank ,, and you tend under such conditions not to repair leaks ,, or white ant damages.. AND ultimately (physics) entropy will claim the house.) (entropy = Bible's dust to dust)

This means that the longer you live ,, the poorer you get.

Where-by in economics ,, you re-buy(acquisitions) what you have written-off (loose_) ,, who are you going to buy from ? If who ever sells wants food-currency ,, means it's better to keep food-currency. (At here (if there's such usage as @here) it is barbaric. )

The mechnical resources required for hydrophonics is an extra layer of tooling ,, so it's better to go back to the soil , in this moonless era.

We loose the moon ,, dead end !!

So far I don't like to promote this idea.
,, because it shall be do-able soon ,, if the axis government 's got any sense (Thank God , they don't.) this is one of the two things they can target to hold Humanity ransom.

( !!)
,, infrastructure is ugly because ,, overnight banks loose trust. Because they cannot back their value anymore.

So , the money-structure disappears with the Moon also.

without the Moon which came from an impact by another solar body into the earth, and that life evolved after the moon made weather, tides, and the rotation of the Earth possible.

If the moon moves away from Earth, Earth will slow and cease to rotate, the weather system will fail, and life as we know it will perish as the earth settles into frozen or baked wastelands.

The moon stabilizes the wobble of the Earth. Without the moon, the Earths current tilt, about 23.5 degrees, would change more erratically and destabilize the climates.

Less lunatics here in the earth. Other than that nothing drastic would happen if moon would disappear. But formation of the moon process might have helped earth to what it is now.
