Each park you look at will offer a slightly different deal. At the very least, you will have to pay rent for a lot. From there, almost anything goes, and all of the details should be spelled out in the rental agreement. Make sure you review the details of the agreement before you sign one.

Some parks provide services such as trash pickup, sewerage, grass cutting, and even water supply as part of the lot rental. Electricity, natural gas, and telephone service are almost always provided by local utility companies and must be arranged for seperately.

Read the fine print of the rental agreement. In the better parks, there are usually lots of restrictions. They can include requirements that your mobile home have a certain type of stairs and "porch stoop". Other popular restrictions include rules and regulations involving storage sheds, landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, trailer maintainance, and even the condition of your automobiles. You will also probably be required to carry liability and casualty insurance in your home.

If you have any questions regarding a lot agreement, it will pay to spend a few bucks to have an attorney review it with you.

Good luck with your search for a mobile home lot.
