dont listen to all the negative people. as cheesy as this might sound...its true. our world has beome very vain. who gives a damn about the age? like you said, its just a number. so what if hes no johnny depp, looks fade away....personality doesnt. its your mom, im sure this isnt the first time that shes been ticked at you? she can get over it and learn to respect him as a sil. this is your life, not hers. your a big girl and you can make all your decisions. stand firm girl, this isnt going to be the last thing you do that makes your mother upset, lol........
hope this helps?

You may have wanted to figure this out before you said I do. Now it doesn't much matter since you are married you may as well see if you can make it work.
If you two are settled in life, are at the same place in life great. If you want to go party and have fun like other people your age this could present a problem.
I can see why your mom and stepdad have a problem with it only because my sister has been through it married a man twice her age and as they grew older, he wanted nothing more than to sit around the house and she wanted to Go, go, go.
Good luck.

I am sure it is not the present your parents are concerned about. However, the future could be difficult for you might be their concern..children will most definitely be effected when they get in high school ..other kids are cruel in that they will think it is Grandpa going to the football game instead of dad. They may be concerned about you being a young widow. Yes age is a number for now and love can conquer all just stick together and take good care of him and congrats on your marriage.

Well, if you are already married than I guess there is nothing you can do about it! My uncle is married to a women that is like 25 years younger than him and he's been happily married for several years now. Who cares what other ppl think, if you two are fine with the age gap than live your life and love each other. Your mom and stepdad will have to get over it!

Of course it's a problem...maybe not now, but that 20 years will become an issue at some point...that 20 years will never go away. Good luck dealing with it when he is 70.

well if you dont have a problem it, then why ask the question? As long as the two of you are happy then it doesnt matter. Im 21 with a 33 year old boyfriend. I happen to prefer the older men.

Right now, it's probably not a big deal; however, my mother married a man 25 years her senior and now he is 75 and she is only 50. They have zero in common. He's retired and wants to travel, but she still has to work for another 15 years. But you are already married so I guess you just make it work.

there is a pretty big difference. I don't really understand why you're attracted to someone that old. However, the age gap is only a problem if it's a problem for you or him. He must be rich to be able to get a 23 year old though.

You are right. Age is just a number. Follow your heart and ignore what everyone else thinks. You are the one that will have to live your life. Not anyone else.

This old pervert is just getting young booty !!!! He's old enough to be your father for crying out loud !!!! I guess it won't be a problem if you don't mind changing a grown man's diapers in about 20 yrs when you're in your early 40's.
And let me guess.........this guy has a lot of money ??!! Because that is the ONLY reason someone of your age would be attracted to a man old enough to be your father.
