Hi. I am really confused because I had my last period on september 2 and i have been having cramps over my right or left ovary (sometimes both) all day for 3 days but they are light like when you ovulate. my breasts are bigger but not sore and i have no other symptoms that i am pregnant or that my period is coming. i took a hpt yesterday at around 3 pm and it turned neg in 45 seconds. any ideas?

You might have an ectopic preganacy... I'd go get it checked out by your doctor if the symptoms continue. Good luck.

I would take another pregnancy test. Make sure it's urine you have held for 5-6 hours (first mornings urine is best) so the hormone levels are stronger to register on the hpt. If it is still negative, go to your Gyn for this. You could have some weird problem or maybe you need a D & C or if you are on the pill it's possible you need a different one. Could be a number of different things. I would def get it checked out to head off any serious health problem.

What is your regular period cycle? 28 days? 30 days? 32 days?
You should also take your HPT right early in the morning with your first morning urine and not at 3pm when the HCG (pg hormones) is not as strong as in the morning.
See if you can test again in 2 days time. If its still negative and your period is still not here - you should check with a gynae. There are cases known as ectopic pregnancy when the fertilised egg is stuck in the tube and causes slight cramping and shows negative HPTs.

you could be pregnant. I would try taking the test early in the morning when you wake up. The hormones are stronger then. The other thing I would suggest is to go to the doctors office to have blood drawn to be sure.

if i were u i would go to the doctor. if u a teenager and scared to tell ya moms go get another type of pregant test and try it again. some ppl go a long time without havin a period. caculate the time u had sex and now. good luck hope everything works out 4 ya

I would have thought the pregnancy test would show by now if you were pregnant. Retest using first morning urine and with Answer brand ( I swear by them). If your period does not come soon see your doctor.

I would contact you OBGYN....you may be pregnant and the pain could be a signal of an ectopic pregnancy.
