As far as I know its the moral right of every Indian to stand up during the National Anthem, but can someone be jailed for not doing so? Has this happened ever ?

Thanks in Advance

I think you answered your own question. Note you said "moral right". Well we have the "moral right" as citizens to vote, but what happens if you don't vote? They don't haul you off to jail. Unless you are breaking some "LAW" and the last time I looked what you are talking about is not on the list of laws broken. If someone told you this then I think they are sadly mistaken.

from the law point of view, i am not sure if we can be jailed. but then u know about our country, corruption and bribery rules. so even if u r being jailed, u can bribe and the rest is history.
