Hit the gym hard, take protein shakes. Do NOT resort to steroids. Creatine can be ok, but make sure to talk to a doctor. The hard part is going to be conviencing the coach. Find a time when he is alone, and ask to talk to him. Discuss your reasons, and see what he thinks. He is the coach for a reason too, though. He may have good reasons for having you where he does. Put in the effort, talk to the coach with respect, and if it is a good fit for you it will probably work.

I'm guessing this is high school football.

Maybe your coach doesn't put a high priority on the tight end in his offensive system. Are there a lot of plays designed for the tight end? If not, you may be wasting your time wanting to be a TE there.

Make the most out of your opportunities on the offensive line. Try for the guard position rather than tackle. You'll get to showcase your running.

If your coach still doesn't put you at TE and you really want to be a TE, you may want to consider a transfer to another school. Drastic but sometimes drastic measures are needed in order to get what you want.
