Glasgow is an amazing city (I prefer it to Edinburgh), the people are fantastic and the architecture is often over looked in this city.
I would strongly suggest you goto the Charles Rennie MacIntosh Musuem at the Glasgow School of Art.
About an hour on a coach outside of Glasgow is Loch Lomond and this is a beautiful place to visit and just sit and look at the surrounding hills reflect in the still waters of the loch.

Get an open topped bus doing a tour of Glasgow.
Kelvingrove Art Museum has just been renovated, and across the road is the Museum of Transport. You will be spoilt for choice, shopping is great, cafes and bars galore. Have a great time.
Nearly forgot, the people are great as well.

Botanic garden, Buchanan street (shopping), Kelvin Hall all are
quite close and within walking distance, for those who like a nice
walk.
