It's endemic in soccer because so many oafs follow it.
During the World Cup and the England v T&T game, large numbers of English fans spent more time facing away from the pitch to hurl racist abuse at opposing supporters.
Only when Engand eventually scored did they take an interest in the game.
Not one or two as is sometimes stated here - thousands.
But it doesn't matter who is doing it as it is ignorant, offensive and not legal.
Clubs and countries have been punished for this and rightly so.
If decent fans pointed out the guilty parties it would make a difference.
It has to be said that the English are amongst the biggest offenders.

Yes, I think it should be. If by "racism" you mean "disliking some people and cultures" well that is OK, but if racism includes going beyond that, beyond THINKING and starts to include INSULTS and VIOLENCE then that should be stopped. If we accept a world where we can hurt other people because we do not like their customs, then it will be a world where no one, including so-called racists, would be safe. That sort of thing impairs progress.

YES...it should stop right now....course we are all living together in this earth...and everyone of us is the same on the inside....why should any race be outcasted like that....we are all humans just with different coloured skin....we all should be treated equal...

Rasism should be stopped allover, not only in football. But that is life, and it is not fair.

They should play, but they should get a huge fine.
