In the windows of Prezzo italian restaurants they have these beautiful big bottles filled with peppers & tomatoes, presumably in some kind of preserving oil. I would like to buy one for my home and would like to know if anyone knows where I can purchase them from.

i quite like those too - i would look in places like m&s, house of fraser etc.
be careful which type you get though, ive always thought that one particular jar in my local prezzo looks a lot like genitalia heheh.

I havn't seen Prezzos but we put garlic, chillies etc into olive oil for the great flavours.

Try buying a nice decanting vase from a homewares shop, put in some chillies and fill with olive oil. Wait a few days and hey presto (Make sure that the lid is not too tight as there will be some escaping gasses)

Why don't you make one - get a decorative bottle and they are probably preserved in Olive Oil.
