Representatives to the US House of Representatives vary with each state, based on the most recent census data. Each state sends two senators to Congress. The number of representatives to the State House, likewise varies with state.

Because two senators are sent from each state, there are 100 senators. At last count, I think there are 435 House members. Texas, my state, sends 32 people to the House of Representatives.

Congressional reps are numbered by the state...according to population
Senate has two for each state.
