I didn't in any way say it was bad to have these films just wondered what makes them stand out. Im also guessing this may be an age thing too as young people might not have heard seen.

Mmmm...sorry you struck out here. I don't have a copy of any of them. I personally like action, sci-fi, and comedies..Ghost was well I didn't like it, dirty dancing was ok, a one time watcher. Grease, cute, not worth owning, but I would watch it if it was on tv and nothing better was on.

I don't have a copy of any of them. The music in Grease was good..loved Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost and Dirty Dancing was great for the dancing but alot of women like the romance of it all. I can think of better films for that.

I don't think you understand women at all. There is some very good music in these films, and a story line(albeit to music). Women of all ages like these, I do 55. Daughter 34 and Gran-daughter of 4 can dance to these. And men only admit to liking these sort of films in private. Not Macho Enough for talking about down the Pub!

I have a copy of none of them, ghost was just pathetic, dirty dancing i've never seen and honestly do not wish to see and grease was okay its a great singalong film.

I thought Ghost was poo actually - I was probably the only person in the cinema not crying......
Dirty Dancing was OK but I don't own it

Now, Pretty Woman - we all love that film because its a modern day cinderella and isn't that what we all grew up wanting..?

OOh, I can answer! It's because they are so romantic, and let's face it, every girl wants that. (Though not sure I would group Grease with the other two!)
Personally I love Jane Eyre, Gone with the Wind, and best of all, Pride and Prejudice (though Colin Firth really helps with that one!) It's basically how we all want our men to behave, perhaps unrealistically, but we can dream! Does that answer your question?

Love triumphing against all the odds(Grease,Dirty Dancing) and good overcoming evil, with a load of romance thrown in for good measure.Works for me,I have all of them on DVD

i guess ia m in the nearly 2% that doesn't! i don't have any of them in my dvd collection. grease is however one of my favs, probably beacuse i used to watch it at sleepovers when i was young, never saw dirty dancing-my mom wouldn't let me see it when it came out, say ghost once, thought it was way over rated.

I do own a copy of Grease, but I only got it because my daughter wanted it. I thought it was ok. I am more into action movies or comedy.
