I prefer a combination of Ebay and my own website. They will feed off from each other. You need a credit card to do just about everything nowadays. At least get a Paypal account--you have to take Paypal to sell online!

You can set up a seller account on Ebay. The ask you what kind of payment that you would like to recieve. You can accept Visa, MC, PayPal, Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, etc. You do not have to accept Credit Cards if you do not wish to do so.

For a lower-cost solution like eBay, try eBid. They take 2% of the auction's final price with a Silver account, but they have Gold (not free) options to circumvent this. You can also consider selling via Amazon.
