The Clinton administration showed little interest in engaging Iraq. It wasn't just the removal of the Weapons Inspectors. There were numerous violations by Iraq concerning firing on aircraft enforcing the No Fly Zone. I don't think the Lewinsky affair had anything to do with the decision though. The Clinton administration was more interested in exploring UN options regarding Iraq. This decision is neither right or wrong. It is just a difference in policy by different administrations. It should also be remembered that there was action taken by the Clinton Administration regarding Iraq. When it was determined that Saddam Hussein endorsed an assassination attempt against George Bush Sr., Mr Clinton did order bombing raids. I don't care for Mr. Clinton, but I do believe in being accurate and fair with actual historical facts.

The Lewinsky Scandal was just one of dozens that were attached to this President. But if he would have kept his focus on the job and not his uh....pleasures, then he would have something to add to his legacy other than nothing, shame, and impeachment.

Not a chance. War with Iraq is and always has been a stupid idea, attractive only to the plundering oil men of the Bush Administration.
