Obviously if you live in a city that used to have a team, they would probably be your choice.

I personally miss the Quebec Nordiques... the playoff series' that they used to have with the Canadiens were priceless!

All of them... Even the Rockies, Seals, and Barons...

And I would give Quebec, Hartford, and Winnipeg back their teams.

I'm with quite a few of the answerers here... I miss the Jets and the Nordiques. I used to love the sea of white at the Jets games, and I just miss the Nordiques... well... because they were a Canadian team. I'm sad now. I think I'll go watch the NHL channel and try to find a couple of old games. Hey, maybe I can find a Jets/Nordiques game!!

I'm sad for the loss of the Jets, but I miss the Nordiques most of all as well. The Stastny's and the brawling battle-royale playoff series vs. the Canadiens in the mid 80's were absolutely classic hockey.

North Stars, Winnepeg Jets, Quebec Nordiques. These cities should have teams. I know that Minnesota does but I'll never get used to them being called the Wild.

I miss the Nordiques. So many memories but also, all the team that was in the league when I was 8 or 9 y/o, the Jets, Rockies, Whalers... I miss the days there was 21 teams in the league just like the older ones misses the time there was only 6 teams!

I got two premium teams the Oilers and the Flames In Alberta and I would still love to see the Nordiques and the Jets, still in action Canada should be rep'n hockey on a pro level in all cities based alone on the talent in every city.

Nordiques

The Nords were my favorite team of all back in the day.

It seemed like they always had scorer after scorer among the forwards. And the teams often had questionable, streaky goaltending and out-and-out bad defense. Which made for exciting hockey at least. Plus they made the best trade in the history of hockey, the 5-for-1 Lindros trade. They became a playoff team overnight courtesy of Bobby Clarke.

Plus they had personality. The Stastnys, Michel Goulet, and such burn-outs like Fogarty (said Sundin: "he could skate better drunk then the rest of us could sober!") and that Richard guy from the early '80's. Ron Tugnutt's 60-save game against Boston, when the crowd at the Garden even gave him a standing O after the game. "Ca compte pour nous" - I am not any separatist but that was a good motto b/c it got attention. As a boy, I wrote the team once for some picture-cards of players. I wrote in English and the team never responded. I wrote a second time in as good of French as I knew, and the team sent me lots of stuff.

Plus, like everybody says, any Montreal-Quebec series was almost a Stanley Cup finals in and of itself, that's how hard it was played.

I personally miss the Nordiques. They were a great team and I loved the fans and I loved going to the games and booing and cheering. I also agree with you on the playoff series that they had with the Canadiens. I also loved collecting their cards. I was almost at tears when I heard they were gone. they were really good too! What a team!!!!!!!!!!!! I MISS THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
