every time i stop at a stop sign yhe car kills and it takes at least two times of trying to start it before it will go again. can someone try to give me an answere as to what it might be?

well its from 88 it has had a good 17 years of use i say go do a tune up maybe change some parts if not sorry to say try to get newer car like a 95 or 96

What kind of cutlass? Supreme, Calais, Seirra? What size engine?

If the check engine light is on, have a scan ran on it. If the light isn't on, a good tuneup should do it.

could be idle speed, more likely needs a tuneup.

new plugs wires. cap and rotor should do it
