I am a writer with a completed script for the first three issues of a mature (not erotic) comic book series I am interested in creating and trying to get published, along with a very well and drawn out idea for another series. Where or how would I go about finding a comic book artist?

Try contacting a university that has a degree field in graphic art, such as the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, USA. They have a degree program specifically geared towards getting their graduates jobs in the comic industry. (I think Marvel has offices in Atlanta, for example) You might want to contact them and see if they can match you up with a student who is talented.

You might want to seriously consider the website deviantart.com. Just recently 8 of their members from the globe, focused on a Phillipine comic, won that nation's National Book Award this year.

Many serious artists are representing their work. A keyword search for gallery items then a focused look at the artist's bio can tell you a lot to seperate hobbyists like myself from the professional.

Also, the staff bios of the site at ABOUT US are very insightful and everyone is willing to take questions and the employees addresses span the globe.
