How about an abstraction to illustrate what a thinker is not first.
A computer cannot think.
A computer can remember information and sort information and put out information, even follow pre-programmed rules. Many people can also do these things and are not thinkers either. You can spot them trying to show you how smart they are by spitting out facts and dates etc but not drawing anything new insight from the information. Information is not pure and true, it always contains bias.

A thinker takes information and analysis the source, credibility, emotion, hidden agendas cultural biases etc that influenced the creation of the data before figuring out what information it actually contains. Based on these observations, a thinker can evaluate the information and true messages inside of it reveal the relationships that produced them. Thus a thinker can acquire insight not found by simply processing the information at face value.

A thinker is someone who doesn't assume they know. If someone believes they know, they will have a prepared answer that they do not need to think about. A thinker will consider every aspect of every question they are asked fully, thinking either within themselves or with others, eventually coming to a most likely conclusion, never assuming they are 100% accurate.

Non-thinkers accept their body more than thinkers. Thinkers have retreated from the social sphere in this one important way, and live primarily an inner life.

You will never find a major philosopher who skateboards, surfs, hang-glides or breakdances. This is not coincidental, but indicative of the main point and distinction.

There are "Thinkers" and there are "Great Thinkers".

Great Thinkers are profound thinkers in their thoughts and in their minds; examples of these Thinkers are Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Kant and Schopenhauer just to name a few of the great ones. Read these peoples's thoughts/philosophies and you might be wiser for it !!!
