Used to be my Mom but she died. It is my daughter now.

Once I was standing at the kitchen sink doing dishes and I felt a tremor as in earthquake. Highly unusual since I live in Michigan. I called my Mom and she answered the phone by saying, "Yup, I felt it, too." She knew it was going to be me!

Sometimes I don't have anyone to call. My family is the "every man for himself" kind and they usually don't want to know about trouble until it's over. Sad but true.
