USA and England have played against eachother 5 times

USA won twice (1950 and 1993)
England won three times (1985, 1994 and 2005)

I believe that USA were ranked higher than England going into Germany 2006(though I believe they've now fallen back), and I know that USA have had a couple of notable victories over England (one in 1950, IIRC, and one in the 1990s).

However, England have won 6 of their 8 meetings (including 10-0 in 1964 and 8-1 in 1959) and over most of football history, England have been considered the superior team - they have been to more World Cup Finals, they've won the World Cup (unlike USA), and they've had better results against other top teams.

You know "football" in the USA means something different than in Europe. They call "soccer" the game we call football. I don't really think they have a relevant team in soccer. :-) Not at all. But they are keep trying.

I think England is more successful. Definitely.
