Well, Free Range Clowns are just freer and therefore happier, so I think their happiness would add to their humor. Caged Clowns are SOOO angry because they're caged. DUH! You have a lot to learn, young grasshopper. Or Young Space Munkey. Whichever you prefer...

Caged clowns are funnier because confinement will always make you crazier, but don't let them out because confinement sometimes breeds anger against the confiner which could create a dangerous situation.
