Both are beautiful but they have (or had in Marilyn's case) men trouble...can't keep a man. Want children but do not have any. Beauty doesn't mean happiness.

I think they've both been overwhelmed by notoriety. I think they enjoyed being known as sex idols but they've been hounded about it and not been allowed a normal life. It has to get to the point of causing mental and emotional difficulties, and I think it has/had to both.
