for one anyone heard by officials saying such things should be banned from watching any international game dont know how they would police but that for starters,if theres a big enough crowd causing a diturbace in the ground by taunting with racist abuse there team should have to play there next game with no fans and no live tv footage then the next games the fans could come back in if it happened again that team should be banned from the closest tornament coming up weither euro cup or world cup ,also all players should try and ignore it yes very hard but ultimately should not make any comments about it as the racists get satisfation from this players should just hold there head up be proffesional and let the officials sort it out and if they dont feel things are being sorted complain to the officials not the papers.

I heard in the news, that the German player Aron Hunt denied these accusations.
He pointed out that he shares his room on team trips with Kevin Prince Boateng a black guy and his mother is English, so it's very unlikely that he's got problems with either English people or black people.

I don't know if someone of you has ever done sports competitively, but it's not unusual for players of different teams to exchange niceties during the game. When you just got tackled down by someone you most probably won't say: "Thank you dear sir, your contribution to this game is highly appreciated".
So I can imagine there were some insults exchanged on the pitch, but as much as I agree with everybody here that you must fight racism whereever you find it, I doubt that this special incident had anything to do with racism.

FIFA said yesterday that they would take dire steps if there was anything racial at the game tonight, and they would seriously think about throwing Croatia out of any football competitions. Until they do what they keep threatening the problem will not stop. But being banned from taking part, will soon make them think twice about what they say and do in the future. Well that`s my opinion anyway.

He called Anton Ferdinand a monkey? Hahaha.
Take away the racist element, he does have a point, Anton isn't one to make ladies swoon because of his looks!

A monkey is a wonderful creature filled with agility and grace. Perhaps he meant this as a compliment? I can see a monkey as a very decent football player if it was well trained.
I agree though - hatred is a bad problem in modern football.

Everytime I hear of this kind of incident I am horrified that anyone still thinks like that, what a horrid thing to say. Perhaps we should round up all these hooligans, fascists, racists & bigots, put them in a football stadium, lock the doors and let them fight it out between them, the world could be a better place.
....OK, but a sensible solution is hard to find.

croatia have been warned that if there is any racist incident tonight they could be evicted from the group. let's hope it deters them but if it doesn't it would be good to see some punishment finally handed out to some other nation than britain for a change.

Good question, would be nice if had an answer! it surprises me that this kind of thing still exists, but some people are just born ignorant w******. Sad but true. Maybe they need to go back to school and be educated in the world of nice, normal people. or maybe we should just poke them in the eye and laugh at how pathetic they are!

Stick and Stones will break me but Naughty words will never hurt me! The problem is we get bent out of shape at what others say and think about us. If we can't be bothered then ummm the words have no meaning!
