for a couple of months, take your temperature every day at the same time, and write it down
after 60 days, compare the temps
youll see that there are just a few days along about in the middle of each thirty (somewhere) no exact science since youre not regular- that your temp will be just a bit higher
those should be the days you are ovulating and there will only be a few
good luck!

I just read through the answers you have received so far and it cracks me up some of the advice people give. First off, you need to find out why you're not menstruating regularly. Speaking from experience, I had never had regular periods (1-4 years apart). I was diagnosed with PCOS in August, 2005. I had a 9lb cyst leaning against my left tube which was causing me not too ovulate and I had hyperplasia (my uterine lining was too thick from not having periods). For those who say its weight or stress that can cause this really need to be informed. Most (but not all) women with PCOS are overweight. I was told by my doctor that I could lose 100 lbs tomorrow and still have the same problem and the stress has to be an over-abundance (severe) stress to intrude on your cycles. If you are skipping cycles then you aren't ovulating regularly. You need to see an ob/gyn and have him/her test you for PCOS. It is not curable but it is treatable. I am on Metformin right now which regulates my periods (28 days like clockwork) and my doctor believes that we should achieve pregnancy within the next 6 months. I am 39 years young and still trying for #1, so don't give up! Hope this helped
P.S.
Ovulation kits and charting your temps do not work for people with PCOS. Women with PCOS always has LH in their system which is what the opk's test for and our temps are normally steady (no rise or fall).

The sticky substance that is secreted is the best way. I have an irregular period - thus ovulating on day 20 rather then day 14 like the rest of the world. If not for tracking that substance, i would never have my 7 week old Grace.

Good Luck!

I'm sure that u will get a menstrual, so count 14 days from the day ur menstrual started (example: 11 oct the 1st day to 24 oct is the 14th) and sometimes u will have urges for sex coz the egg are ovulating. and also there will be some white discharge for some woman.

I am irregular as well. I really think if you can afford it you should buy the expensive Ovulation Predictor Kit. The expensive one is like a mini computer and actually charts your ovulation and keeps track of it and stores it for up to 6 months. If you are that irregular it is worth the investment. Good luck.

First off, if you have stress in you life, overweight, not eating healthy, and even working out you can cause your body to miss a period.

I know that when I really try and figure out my cycle I really stress myself out and that is when my cycle is totally thrown. So relax!

Second I use the OPK that you buy each month. Personally I like them and really don't think I want to buy the $150 dollar one. Go to the website below and figure out when you should be ovulating. A few days before and after that number take tests. That way you can really pin point when you are actually ovulating.

If you still are having difficulties after a few more months... I would go and see your doctor to make sure that everything is good with you and your DH!

Good Luck!

If your problem in the start is ovulation for getting pregnant , then you have to fix you cycle first . There is no use to predict ovulation day for fertility sex , then loose the pregnancy because of your hormonal support is messed up

I used the ovulation predictor kits. I know they are kinda expensive, but they work.

An OPK test kit or taking your temp first thing in the morning and charting it.
