Prob a CISCO or MCSE course. Some practical experience and a good attitude to work.
No one can guarantee you anything. If you want it, just work hard and you will get it.

Well I have just started a course at college called networking essentials its two hrs a week for ten weeks and you need to have some understanding of binary and hex decimals so it would be a good idea to do the PC servicing course as well which will give you this understanding. You could also talk to the tutors on these courses at your local college who will point you In the right direction. Hope this helps.

Yea to get into networking you will need a CCNA or eqiv.
Go buy a cisco CCNA book. learn it. Go pass the exam an dyour on your way.!
You will probably get min of £25k at the start.
Most ppl i know have managed to get there CCNA in about 5Months.
However depends how good you are at learning... some basic networking and computer knowledge helps!

For Wide Area Networks then CCNA or CCNP (Cisco).
For Local Area Networks, MCSE will give you a good start. Remember WAN/LAN are 2 completely different area's.
