You don't have to be an MP to change the way the Internet is regulated.

The wonderful thing about the internet is that MP's can't control it. Providing you are prepared to spend enough to get an ISP in another country if necessary it is impossible to censor.

Unfortunately politics and power infiltrate all areas of life. No area is exempt from political interference and corruption.

As a government you can only regulate successfully within your country, or as part of a larger region (to a lesser extent).

All you could do is censor, exclude, and effectively persecute anyone who you decided was not of the race you wished to breed.

This would result in "so called" terrorism, and a war on terrorism would result. In reality, terrorism is often the sign of a declining and failing government. It is the last legs of a headless chicken, not knowing where to run or what to do with it's head chopped off.

I don't think it would be very easy or practicle to try to police it any more that it is due to the international aspects of it.

Although I understand China is very authoritarian over the internet.

The best you could do is regulate the owners and designers of sites. But if they host in othercountries it would be very hard to pursue.

I'd mount a campaign in this country to make people aware of threat to the principle of Internet neutrality and seek ways to counter US legislation now before Congress.

I'd make Ebay get off its backside and actually sort out the problems it has!

I've found out about a user who's using stolen credit cards.. he's still allowed to buy stuff while they "investigate".

Bloomin useless!

I would make ISPs deliver what they set-out in their flashy advertising, and ensure they provided proper customer service.
