You know i saw a figure today that over 600 000 iraqi people have been killed due to the Iraq war. What a disgrace.

My point is- Instead of having spent so much money on a hopeless war, the money should have went into food and health programs for Americans who need these things.

Charity begins at home.

Too many Americans live paycheck to paycheck and have to borrow money to survive and too many can't have health insurance. Why not fix these problems, first.

The Bible says that we should do good to each other, especially the brethren. In other words, we need to take care of ourselves so that we can then be fit to help others. Personally I have a saying that "we shouldn't fly over a mission field to get to a mission field."
In other words, we shouldn't be sending food to other countries as long as there are hungry people in our own country. We shouldn't be taking care of others unless and until we have taken care of ourselves.
