Porsche is an Engineering Group. Companies hire them to mechanically design for them. When I was in training with them they told me cars were only 25% of the company. Once they make a design they sell it. You won't see the Porsche crest on any of it. A couple of examples - Air Bus Jet Liner front cockpit was designed by Porsche, very large generators for power plants. They also help with other car manufactures. It is cheaper for a company to hire an established engineering group to design the product. They might not do the whole product but key components.

Porshe made a tank in WWII that was too high geared. It would dig the treads straight down into the mud. It was retrofitted as a mobile long-barrel cannon.
In Germany you can pay 200 euro for a black motif toaster that has a cool finger touch dark/light cooking time.
There is also a cellphone. The toaster and phone are a Seimens chassis.

Volkswagon and Porshce have always had a very strong relationship. They were both founded by Porshce himself during the war years. You would be amazed at how many VW engines those guys have had there hands in over the years. Ever seen a Karmann Ghia? Dosen't it look like the very first porshces?
By the way, VW now owns both porsche and Lamborghini. Serious.

The Harley Davidson V-Rod engine was engineered by Porsche. My Dad has one, it's much smoother than his other Harley but... it just doesn't really feel like a proper Harley!! The have also made a kettle and toaster set with Siemens. (I think it's Siemens)

Pinnacle MovieBox Studio 9 (this is, of course, not a design of Mr Ferdinand Porshe himself, but of his studio)
