I'm doing a degree in Psychology and Counselling and I was just wondering how many people today feel that their glass is half full or half empty. Please no answers about needing a refill on your cup of tea lol. Take care all xx

Actually the answer is depending on whether you are drinking from the glass or filling the glass. I am filling it so it is always half empty. Others get to drink from it so it is half full. the interesting thing is that it is my glass no matter who is looking at it. I just know that it is expected that i will fill the glass by me and by others.

Cup?
What cup?
What is this cup eveyone keeps talking about?
But really.....
Here's the problem, I'm not an optimist and I'm not a pessimist.
I'm a realist.
Therefore, when I'm thirsty, I drink the water in the cup.
If I'm really thirsty, I drink the water in the cup and since only half the glass contained water, I get more water.
It's not half full or half empty, it simply is.
Stick that in your freudian pipe and smoke it and remember, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

My glass is half empty because my life is half over...

Nearing the age that humans generally live out their lives,
I would have to say, like one before me said, because of
my bad health and bad circumstances in life,
my glass is half empty...

Like Art Carney said in the movie "St. Helen's", ...
" I've been and I've done, loved, married..."
I was also a mom and a grandmom, I have owned homes, cars, had a career, traveled, etc...

Thats an interesting question, I am guessing that by saying your glass is half full means you are an optemist, but by saying your glass in half empty you are a pessimist. I for one am a optemist!!

(really sorry if I spelt optermist wrong)

I think right now I'm half empty. I've been sick a lot lately and they (the doctors) can't seem to find out what's wrong with me. I just feel drained all the time so it's hard to have a good outlook on life right now.

I'm usually a very pessimistic person and usually view my cup as half empty but this morning, I'm seeing it as half full.

Good luck!
