I am not going to gloat - having witnessed the Republican led attempt to impeach Clinton. I bet they never thought they'd be in this position.

By handling it do you mean, deny , deny, deny? This whole thing has been a farce since pages reported Foley years ago according to another page interviewed by the F.B.I. yesterday. Any elected official that knew and chose to do nothing should be fired(if possible) , lose any pensions or perks and if the GOP is sincere about damage control, have those officials apologize personally for their inaction to their constituents. This was/is NOT a minor thing. Inaccurate military intelligence is one thing, this one, there can be no excuse. Shame on all involved whether they be GOP or Democrat. If Democrats knew and did nothing, they too should do the honorable thing and resign. NO EXCUSE.

I'm not satisfied, because it seems that many of the GOP leadership have a double-standard for "ethics"--one standard for their cronies (which seems to be "whatever you can get away with"), and one standard for everybody else.

I do think this issue is over-rated though. I wish the Bob Woodruff book about Iraq was getting more media coverage. It's a far more important issue. Or how about the situation with North Korea? A couple years ago, the whole country went crazy over Janet Jackson's breast. The Foley scandal is more substantive than that, but we are ignoring a lot of other important news because of it.

The Democrats knew, too, and did not involve the police in the matter, just the press. So, the hypocrisy is just too much....

Before you gloat....think of Studds, Frank, Melvin Reynolds, and Clinton. There is a long list of improprieties and illegal behavior in the Democrat party.... they just keep their sexual deviants in their party and make them powerful. Again, at least the Republicans kicked the bum out...
