The first thing you should do is make an assessment of your incomings and outgoings and see where you can reduce costs. Every little helps. Then do cash flow and profit forecasts for the coming months and see where you are most vulnerable. At those times, you should concentrate on increasing your trade. Perhaps through trade fairs, or mailouts and definitely through the Internet. Ebay is also a good place to sell. Don't spend too much money on PR though as they rarely give you the revenue to match the costs.

Good luck!

It might be worth hiring a PR company to do work for you for a few months, they can be expensive, but not all of them and they can be pretty good a helping build a reputation for a small business. Also perhaps try some bridal fairs in hotels it is a good way of geting your name around.

Adversting on the internet can be done for as little as a few pounds per day. Talk to local wedding photographers, caterers, wedding planners, hotels, florists etc to see if you can help eachother with referals. Look at what other successful companies in your industry are doing. Try and be innovative but dont ignore the tried and tested things that make a business successful.

Good Luck !!

You need to find the best way to publise your services to your target market segment (brides).

Think about advertising in the local newspaper, or even better find an inovative way to get on the radio or newspaper.

You could also diversify by offering other services. Find out who the local wedding planners are and try to join forces, so you refer business to them, and they can get goods from you at a discount price.

Maybe do offers to bring more customers in, e.g. if they refer a friend and they also buy items over a certain price, they get something free (maybe a romatic dinner for 2 at local restaurant).
