Nice pant suit, or a rather dressy casual. Usually in black, dark blue, or gray.
I wore nice blue jeans and blouse for my mother's funeral. I took the attitude of 'she rarely saw me dressed up when she was a live, why whould she care now?' approach. And the family and friends agreed with me, that it should be a 'dressy casual' type affair.

Knee length dress or skirt in black, grey, brown or navy. Dark shoes and coat if you're wearing one. I think the dress-code is pretty relaxed these days. Or you could wear a trouser suit

Any dark colored, conservatively cut outfit. Nothing too short, too tight, or too low cut. Pants are OK. Dark colored dress shoes (try to stay away from open-toed shoes). A white or cream shirt is OK under a dark blazer with matching skirt or slacks.
