If I get a pizza delivered, they bring it to the front door. If I get furniture delivered, they bring it to the front door.
If I am going to have to put on shoes and a coat to get the newspaper off my front lawn, it defeats the purpose of having it delivered. I might as well have gone to the store where I could have grabbed a coffee while I was at it.

It is just a sad statement on the work ethic of peolpe today, as a young boy I delivered papers the old fashioned American way, on my bicycle. I think those days are long gone. My point being I always got it on the doorstep or got off of the bike and put it there if I missed with the throw. This commitment to doing my job properly and not just having a job was reflected in my tips when I collected every month too. The bottom line is people just don't care anymore and fail to realize that if they can't preform this simple task that they show they are not qualified for much of anything else.

They are not required to drop it at your doorstep. They are delivering it to your house.
Actually in some places they put it in plastic and hang it on your doorknob.
A pizza is different. Throw it and its going to get messy.
I would rather have it on my lawn than have to jump in the car and go to a newspaper stand to get one.

Dont feel bad. Mine is on the roof once in a while. Have to climb up on the garage to get it.

Because we allow them to. If they refuse to deliver it in the manner you see proper, the only solution is to cancel your subscription.
