Yes - we are always ready for any storm, be it a summer or winter storm. We keep a bag with several changes of clothing, and enough of our medications, for at least five days, in case we have to leave. As far as a snow storm, well, living in the northeast, we are always ready. We have emergency battery powered radios and two battery powered tv's, we have enough canned food and water to last us for at least a week, and we have a a kerosene heater that we can use. A word of caution about these heater's - ALWAYS open a window for ventilation, and NEVER go to bed with one on. We keep spare batteries for our flashlights, and we also have battery lanterns. We always have plenty of bagged ice in our freezer, so if power is off a long period of time, we can keep things cold longer. You will need plenty of warm clothing also, and a cell phone and lots of warm blankets. You should be all set. So yes, we are ready for a snowstorm if one comes along. I hope that you are prepared too.

I hear that several areas will be getting snow soon. I live in Texas what I'm most excited about is the fact that it's finally cooling off. We'll have nights in the 50's and days in the 70's. We wouldn't know what to do if we got snow.

We're not getting one here in Toronto yet, but I heard about the storms forecast for northern Alberta and northern Ontario. You have one consolation...it probably won't last for any appreciable amount of time. And you'll REALLY appreciate your Indian Summer this year!

Me.
I have my coat and boots upstairs in the closet and I know where my hat and gloves are. The shovels are where we can get to them easily. To be honest, I'd almost relish seeing some snow.
