I have been quoted for both by 2 different companies ??

The single can be fitted to one service say the hot water you would need another for the cold.

The other can be fitted on the Hota nd cold services to boost the pressure coming out of all the taps in your house with the exception of mains water taps such as the one over the kitchen sink

A single (ended) shower pump pumps water to the shower head after it has passed through the mixing valve. A pump to increase pressure to the whole house, will have a greater flow rate as it is used to increase the pressure at all hot taps.

1 bar equals approx 15 pounds per square inch pressure.
