According to their website

'How long will my licence take to be returned?

DVLA aim to deliver your driving licence to you within three weeks of receiving your application. It might take longer if DVLA have to check on your health or personal details. Please allow at least three weeks for your licence to arrive before contacting DVLA.'

As it says withint 3 weeks of receiving it I would allow 4 weeks before I worried.

You should have had a letter explaining the decision - so contact the DVLA and ask them what the problem is. No-one else can guess the reason for you. It could be something as simple as putting the wrong date of birth on the form - in which case you apply again and make sure you correct the mistake - but only the DVLA can tell you.

It should be in your post by now, Call DVLA and find out if they had already mailed out to you; otherwise your license must have been stolen in post.

It took me two weeks to receive mine but if you can not wait any longer it is best that you contact them by telephone, email or by letter. Make sure that you have your driver number as they will needs this to recall your records. Their website is http://www.dvla.gov.uk
