As much as anyone else.
It's the stuck up brits who claim that we're all wrong in everything we do that I can't stand.
My sister lives in the UK and is about to become married to a brit. Nothing wrong with most of them!

All kidding aside Yes we Americans do like the English people. It's been over 225 years sense we've had any real squabble with the English Empire.
As a frequent buisness traveler I've never felt more at home in any other country as I had been in North East England, and sometimes even moreso than some places in the U.S.A.
The people as a rule in England are civil to americans and comfortable to be with. Unlike Spanish, French, Germans, and Asians.

I think that most Americans do. I've heard some people make jokes about them for silly reasons but I don't think they dislike English people. I think alot of Americans just like to make fun of people's cultures, point out differences, stero-types, etc. Nothing meant to be taken seriously.

The Brits suck, honestly the worst people I ever met. There is a certain degree of uncomfortableness in them, kinda that stuck-up-into-my-mental-problems feeling. On close examination, that trait is similar to all Continentals in Europe except Italy and Spain, who are more free and open-mixing.
I like the Irish though; nice, kind, warm, hospitable. The Scots are also good. No idea on Wales, but the English are as poofy as Hugh Grant.

Absolutely.. we are connected. England is our ally and if the world goes to war again, we will stand side-by-side. We would defend each other.
