My dad saw the same woman for many many years while he was married to my mom. When my mom kicked him out he married her and they stayed married until she passed away form lung cancer. They were very happy. It seems like that is unusual though. I have been seeing a married man for over a year and I doubt he will leave his wife for me. The problem is i love him a lot. Be careful though. Even if he leaves his wife for you, what makes you any different than his wife when it comes to fidelity. Why would he be faithful to you if he can't be faithful to her. Once a cheater always a cheater. My best friend is living with the married guy she wa seeing. He left his wife for her and they seemed to have the most incredible relationship. She recently caught him making dinner plans with another woman behind her back. It hit her that he may not have it in him to be faithful to anyone for long periods of time.

A lot of people don't want to divorce because they don't want to pay for it. Whoever files for divorce pays. He's hoping that you'll get fed up and file and pay the $1000.00 or whatever the price of the divorce is. He is content just living with her and does not feel that he has to get married like many people do. After 2 years there won't be any reconciliation. Affairs can last a lifetime. Well in your case it was an affair at first but then it became just like marriage to him. She is living with him as his wife. Where I live it does not matter if you're married to someone that you do not live with. If you live with someone else it is considered common law marriage and you have to declare it this way on your taxes, it is the law.

The extra marital affairs usaually goes on
as long as both the person get boring or
they feeling something wrong by themselves.
Also as long as their personal life not
affected. i.e.family members not getting
any problem or other members of their families
not knowing their affairs.
It is better to live peacefully with your wife or
husband.

Most men (who are having an affair) want just that. They don't want to leave the safety and comfort of their married life, they just want to have their cake and eat it too. There are some cases where an infidelity has lasted years. For instance, President D.D.E., his lasted for about 20 years.

wow , 3 yrs. is about tops where i come from. usually it is only to fill a void in thier life. and they get too scared to carry on with it for long. the challenge of another affair is soon in the air. they don't want to become too close to the other , after the void is filled.

most of the time he will not leave his wife its called "having his cake and eating it too " you are his side dish and it will never go any further-- and it it does rebound relationships don't last either because there will always be guilt-- he cheated with you against his wife why won't he do it again and yes that works both ways as in women doing the same
