Don't accept that answer from the doctors whatever it is it needs investigating, I won't go into details but I have had a few things that have either been put down to stress or a virus. Keep going back until you get sorted or referred to a specialist. Good luck

You definately need to go back to the doctors and tell just how much this is affecting your life. I tell you, the amount of times I have heard of people (including myself) going to the doctors only to be told that it's stress/anxiety or a virus, it makes me so angry!

It does sound like you have a fungal infection of some sort as I do remember something similar to this only recently. Until you see the doctor again (or if he still doesn't give you a good answer) then try cutting out all yeast and sugar (it's hard I know, I'm doing it myself at the moment!) cos that's what fungal infections live off in your gut. You'd be amazed how much food can affect our bodies and lives. It may take weeks to work and even if your illness has nothing to do with it, cutting out yeast and sugar certainly won't cause you any harm!

Hope you get better soon.

How old are you, what other medical history do you have, what is your lifestyle, psychological and and domestic state like, and are you taking any prescribed or non-prescription substances? There is no substitute for a proper medical consultation, and the internet is a dangerous place, medically. You do not say if you have been checked for treatable conditions such as thyroid disease, anaemia and diabetes etc that can sometimes not be obvious. If this has all been done and there's nothing else the pattern you report could be of an adverse reaction to stress, have you looked at it from a psychological viewpoint?
Good luck.

You could have sulphur deficiency in diet and seriously poor circulation. Learn to dress up well making sure you are warm. Put the central heating on, drink plenty of fluids, like chamomile, warm water, and do plenty of exercise..or just walk for 7 miles at least twice a week. You can try homeopathy..ask a homeopathy pharmacist.

Or you could have an unusual form of fungus (bearing in mind there are different types of fungus). You didnt say what types of cream you have tried either. You can try using a scalp treatment called "Sulphur" for dry itchy scalp... even though it says it is for the scalp you can still use it on your body. The ingredients are powerful (very smelly) and you may need to use it before going to bed. This is Super Strength Strong written on the round plastic container.. You will get them in Black )AFRO-CARRIBEAN hair shops.
The product company is called Hollywood Beauty, Sulphur with camphor. (Super Strength)

I used it on my scalp and it got rid of the problem within a couple of weeks. I also used it on my big toe nail and the bad nail started to drastically improve, I was absolutely shocked in comparison to all the anti fungal creams which only re-activated the problem( these anti fungal creams you get in the chemist are mostly rubbish). You can get this product in europe, america and britian.. good luck, I am sure it will help

If i were you I would file a complaint against your gp's surgery. You clearly need more than to be just told that you'll eventually be ok. I really hope you start getting the results you need and feel better soon. I'm sorry that i can't offer any medical advice to you.

Go back to the docs and tell them you're not leaving until you get referred to someone who knows what they're atlking about. Your symptoms are not usual and you need to have them checked out.

GP's are useless - mine told me I had swollen glands, turned out to be tuberclosis so dont believe a word they tell you. Demand to see a specialist or someone with more of a clue than a gp

I've known others with similar symptoms. The symptoms were brought on by allergies - especially allergies to food. Your doctor is likely to prescribe a steriod or an antihistamine.

You should join a gym & take up brisk walking. Sound silly I know, but excersise is the best cure for depression & the rest will follow on. Good luck
